taplee.link

Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These are the rules for using taplee.link. We’ve written them in plain English, but they are a legal agreement, so please read them.

Who we are

taplee.link (“taplee”, “we”, “us”) is a link-in-bio service operated by [legal entity name], ABN [ABN], of [registered address], Australia.

By creating an account or using taplee.link you agree to these terms. If you are using taplee.link for a business, you confirm you can bind that business to them. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.

Accounts and sign-in

There are no passwords. You sign in with a six-digit code we email to you, and the code expires after 10 minutes. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you, so keep that mailbox secure and tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate details and keep your email address up to date. Each account has one page.

Handles

Your handle is the name in your page address (taplee.link/yourhandle). A handle is a licence to use that address on taplee.link, not property you own. We can reclaim or change a handle that is reserved, that impersonates or misleads people about who you are, or that is used in breach of our Acceptable Use Policy. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.

Your content

You own the content you put on taplee.link: your page, links, images, form designs and product files. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, display and deliver that content, and to send it where you direct (for example to a buyer who has paid), only so we can run the service for you. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backups that expire in the ordinary course.

You promise that you have the rights to everything you upload or link to, and that it does not breach the law or anyone else’s rights. You are responsible for your content. We don’t review it before it goes live.

Acceptable use

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: no scams, phishing, malware, illegal or abusive content, spam, impersonation, or prohibited goods.

Plans and fees

Free. No charge. We take a platform fee of 5% of the sale price on each sale you make through your page. Free includes up to 3 active products, 30 days of analytics history and a “Powered by taplee.link” footer on your page.

Pro. US$10 per month. A reduced platform fee of 1.5% of the sale price on each sale, unlimited active products, form blocks and submissions, a verified badge, full analytics history, and the option to remove the footer. GST or other tax may be added to the subscription where required. Stripe bills the subscription each month until you cancel.

Prices are in US dollars. Stripe also charges its own card processing fees on every sale, on both plans. Those are paid by you as the seller and are separate from our platform fee. The current plan details are on our pricing page.

Fee rate. The platform fee that applies to a sale is set by your plan at the moment the buyer starts checkout. A later upgrade or downgrade affects only checkouts started after the change.

Cancelling or downgrading. You can cancel Pro at any time from the billing portal. When you move from Pro to Free, nothing is deleted:

  • analytics views are limited to the last 30 days;
  • products beyond your 3 most recent sellers are switched off (they can be switched on again if you upgrade);
  • form blocks and the verified badge are hidden on your page until you upgrade again;
  • the “Powered by taplee.link” footer comes back.

Upgrading lifts all limits straight away, including any locked submissions and full analytics history.

Refunds of our fees. Subscription fees already paid are refunded only where the law requires it (see “Australian Consumer Law” below), or at our discretion. When you refund a buyer in full, the platform fee on that sale is returned too.

We may change our prices or plan limits. We will give you at least [30] days’ notice by email before a change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Affiliate programme

Who can earn. Creators on Pro can earn commission by referring new creators to taplee.link. You earn commission only on revenue that arrives while you are on Pro.

How much. 20% of the revenue we receive from a creator you referred: 20% of their Pro subscription, and 20% of the platform fee on their sales. It continues for as long as they keep paying. It does not apply to Stripe’s fees or to the part of a sale that goes to the seller.

Who gets credit. A person is credited to the first creator page they visited in the 90 days before signing up. If they sign up through a creator’s join link, that creator is credited instead. We use a cookie to record this (see our Privacy Policy). You cannot refer yourself.

Payment. Commissions are held for 30 days, to allow for refunds. After that they are paid monthly to your connected Stripe account, once your balance is at least US$10. Amounts below that carry over. You need a Stripe account that can receive payouts.

Refunds. If revenue is refunded, the commission on it is reversed. If the commission has already been paid, we may deduct it from a later payout.

Misuse. Don’t spam, mislead people about taplee.link, or refer yourself or accounts you control. We may withhold or reverse commission obtained that way, and action under “Suspension and termination” below may apply. You are responsible for any tax on commission you earn.

Selling through Stripe Connect

To sell, you connect a Stripe Express account. Stripe, not taplee, verifies your identity and runs payments and payouts. Your use of Stripe is also covered by Stripe’s own terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and its restricted businesses list.

You are the seller. When a buyer purchases your product, the contract of sale is between you and the buyer. You are the merchant of record, and the charge appears on your Stripe account. taplee is not a party to the sale and does not sell, supply, endorse or guarantee your products.

You are responsible for:

  • your products, their descriptions, and delivering what you promise (including your private files and unlockable content);
  • your own tax obligations, including registering for and collecting GST (or any other sales tax) where required, and keeping tax records. We don’t give tax advice;
  • refunds, returns and complaints, and meeting your obligations to buyers under Australian Consumer Law and other consumer laws;
  • disputes and chargebacks. Stripe may recover disputed amounts and related fees from your Stripe account.

Payouts. Stripe pays out sale proceeds to your bank account on its schedule, after deducting its fees and our platform fee (on both plans). We don’t hold your sales money and we don’t control the timing of payouts. Stripe may hold, delay or reverse payouts in line with its terms.

Buyers. Buyers receive an email with a link to their purchase. The link for a file product is valid for 30 days and allows up to 5 downloads. You can resend it or refund the order from your dashboard. A refund revokes the buyer’s access.

Forms and visitor data

If you collect information from visitors through a form, you are responsible for doing so lawfully. That includes telling visitors how you will use their details, having your own lawful basis, and getting consent that meets the Spam Act 2003 before you send them marketing. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle that data on your behalf.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using taplee.link and close your account at any time. If you have a Pro subscription, cancel it first, because closing an account does not by itself stop billing unless we tell you it does.

We can remove content, disable a page, suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, if we are required to by law or by Stripe, or if your use puts other people or the service at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem. For serious or urgent cases, such as phishing or illegal content, we may act first.

If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data. After closure we delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees or any other right you have that the law does not allow to be limited. If you are a consumer, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, and to have services fixed if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Depending on how you use taplee.link, these guarantees may not apply to you (for example, where you acquire the service for the purpose of resupplying it, or the law treats the acquisition as a business purpose above the relevant price threshold). That is a legal question about your situation, not something these terms decide.

Service availability and liability

We work to keep taplee.link available and accurate, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or retire features. Analytics are estimates: for example, we cannot count visitors perfectly without tracking them, and we exclude traffic we detect as automated.

To the maximum extent the law allows, and subject to the Australian Consumer Law section above: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity, or for the acts of third parties such as Stripe, your buyers or your visitors; and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event and A$100.

Where the law lets us limit our liability for breach of a consumer guarantee, we limit it to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

You agree to compensate us for loss we suffer because your content or your sales breach the law, these terms or someone else’s rights, to the extent your actions caused it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State], Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and of the Commonwealth of Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we will email you or show a notice in the dashboard at least [30] days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or is needed urgently for safety. If you keep using taplee.link after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don’t agree, you can close your account. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
